St. Stephen’s Preparatory School

Ho Shung Yuk Building is a new teaching block for St. Stephen’s College Preparatory School, sitting on an elevated ground at the beautiful St. Stephen’s Beach. It is a three-storeycomplex with a covered link bridge on the top floor connecting the building to the main campus. It houses twelve classrooms, a library, a naturally lit and ventilated covered-playground, an indoor theatre connecting with outdoor theatre, a staff office and a Master’s quarter. Various covered outdoor spaces allow for multi-purpose activities such as performances, debates, roof gathering and sports games. The outdoor theatre is at the central forum of the building where students enjoy exchanging of ideas and student community life.

Architecture emphasizes on the interaction between users and the space while satisfying the needs. We have seamlessly connected the inside and the outside and created a core space for the students and teachers to learn, exchange ideas and grow relationships in the environment.
